prayers for the ungodly

Alex Hackett
One can survive for longer without air than without hope.

A set of five prayer cards carrying messages to provide a reminder of hope in times of uncertainty.

The cards adapt sentiments from traditional recipe, food preparation and conversation and reinterpret them as small prayers. A dispersible publication to be carried easily in the pocket for as long as needed.

Five cut-edged prayer cards tucked in a hand stamped pouch, enclosed within an essay printed on vellum.

This work was commissioned by underGROWTH and The Pod, Coventry.
